Psalm 99:8 O LORD our God, You answered them; You were to Israel a forgiving God, though You punished their misdeeds.
God’s forgiveness and God’s punishment are not mutually exclusive.
His punishment and/or discipline doesn’t mean we’re not forgiven; His forgiveness doesn’t mean we can get away with our sins.
