Here's one I found that closely resembles what BC was talking about. He is definitely pro-choice.

found here: http://www.amberdragonflypress…..choice.htm

Many people on the anti-abortion side clearly have deep convictions. It may not be as clear to some that the convictions of pro-choice people are just as strong and as deeply rooted in moral principles. We, too, are motivated by anguish. A basic difference lies in where we find the anguish.

Anti-abortion people generally start with the belief that inviolable human life begins at conception. They are anguished when other people do not abide by this principle.

Pro-choice people acknowledge that beliefs about the question of life's beginning come from spiritual beliefs, and different spiritual beliefs lead to different conclusions about this question.

oh nice finding sarek!

yeah he/they definitely got a point. let's just pray that God would soften their hearts; that they'll visualize the procedure and imagine as if it was them them being procedured. and from there, they'd see the Source of life. also, that the scriptures we quoted would be planted in their hearts.

i'm definitely pro-life ftw!

[maybe we can show some videos here...Idea]

how can we even expect to hear from God when we don’t even care to listen to what He’s said before.

And it's not an issue of faith as the author (and BC) suggests. Nothing that I've said so far was suggested by my belief in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I understand that when they can classify it as a “faith” based decision- or religiously based, then it's easier to dismiss because its a “personal” conviction… a PERSONAL CHOICE. Then they can ask, do expect to force everyone to believe in the same faith as you? (meaning convincing others that abortion is wrong). <– Again, this is a misguided argument and has nothing to do with the scientific fact of when life begins and why abortion is wrong in the scientific veiw, not religious, faith, etc…

I think that classifying it as “faith” base is a comment from a person not listeing or understanding the other's point of view.

None of the points I've made and the ones you've quoted from Matt Slick has anything to do with religious faith or religious beleif. It has to do with scientific fact and information. When does a human have a right to live?

I also thought it was ironic that BC would accuse people (us) of not understanding and not listening while he came on to this thread ask a few misleading questions and then leaves without reading many responses. Or at least not engaging in “discussion”.  I don't think we've said anything to discourage his involvement.

BC, if you're still lurking, I welcome any response.Thumb Up

“Anti-Abortion Gets a New-Media Twist”

http://www.latimes. com/news/ nationworld/ nation/la- na-abortion26- 2009apr26, 0,5408628. story

If you have the time, I urge you all to read this.  I came upon this article through one of my friend's facebook.  A lot of “feminists” at UCLA are, I guess, trying to get together and stop this “ultra-conservative and repressive 'classmate.' “  In summary it's about Lila Rose, a UCLA student and anti-abortion activist going undercover at Planned Parenthood clinics.

Give me your takes on it.

bad news: http://www.google.com/hostedne…..1s12HP1i6A

Spain is apparently on the verge of lifting most of their restrictions on abortion, including legalization of abortion for 16-year-old mothers.

I once heard someone say: “If history has taught us anything, it's that no one learns anything from history”. I guess that saying holds true yet again…

a work in progress
