hey wats up u guys how r things going over there??? well as u all know im at detroit and i have been going to a catholic church and there are some things that sounds right and there r some that are very questionable. so i was listening to the priest and the message was about death. he said that we were “created immortal” but because of sin we became humans which means we became “mortal”. i mean it sounds right but its very questionable. also like he was talking about prayer and how we should always use the bible as our prayer book. like memorizing it and saying it to GOD over and over. he said the bible holds the truth and that because it is said through GODs words like we should always use it? like prayer through our own words are just words it is like when we are all talking to each other. he also told me our own words that come out of our mind is not powerful. but the power of GOD comes within his words which is the “bible”. i dont know if it sounds right but these r the first few questions that i have. have fun FCF

I just want to share EmptyOh's answer he sent to Dust10 via email:

Hey Dustin!! Good job staying alert and continue to question and search! You remember my first answers to the first two questions, so ill just address the last question.

Quote: “he also told me our own words that come out of our mind is not powerful. but the power of GOD comes within his words which is the 'bible'.”

This statement is correct, It is true that the words that we say ALONE is not powerful.

To clarify, the power (authority) that God gave us is not innate (does not come from us). Although don't mistake that we don't have any authority, because when Jesus died and rose again, He gave us this power (no rituals needed unless you're heathen).

Luke 10:19
19I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

And when we use it, we just have to remember and acknowledge the One who's bite that backs up our bark (so to say), and that is God's word. We can STOMP on satan because Jesus says we CAN!!! WOOO!!

So have fun, keep safe, keep, and spread the faith in Detroit! Can't wait to hear your stories! God Bless!
