Bible What does God look like? Who created God? No Idea

how can we even expect to hear from God when we don’t even care to listen to what He’s said before.

something like this -

someone “like a son of man,”dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.  Revelations 1:13-15

But I think their talking about Jesus.

I can't even imagine what he looks like.  I like to believe He maybe ia a gorgeous illuminating source of light.  <<sigh>>

But as far as who created him:  He is the beginning and the end, alpha and omega.  The Great I am.  He is the unmoved mover.

Aristotle's thought of it this way. Bible

  1. There exists movement in the world.
  2. Things that move were set into motion by something else.
  3. If everything that moves was caused to move by something else, there would be an infinite chain of causes. Not possible.
  4. Therefore, there must have been something that caused the first movement.
  5. From 3, this first cause could not have moved itself.
  6. From 4, there must be an unmoved mover

“blah…. blah…….blah… BLAH!”

I would say I agree jellybean.

Like the Son of God or Son of man.

Male Form.

Handsome coz people and women were drawn to him.

Strong and fit coz he was a carpenter and they didnt have those automatic tools and stuff.

Probaby, dark..he was always in the son.

Maybe even tall…because he was seen as authoritive when people saw him.

Maybe a little hairy! haha coz people didnt shave unless they were egyptian.

This probably it explains why I love tall dark and handsome minus hairy.

Just like my father.Kisses

hmm. nice description.

so that's how you picture God when you're praising/worshiping Him?

how can we even expect to hear from God when we don’t even care to listen to what He’s said before.

ah cool. yeah, it would be idolatry in the sense that you presented it if you picture and worship Him that way.

presence you mean spirit right?

21 Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem.  22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.  23 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.  24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” 25 The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” 26 Then Jesus told her, “I Am the Messiah!” [ John 4:21-26 NLT ]

how can we even expect to hear from God when we don’t even care to listen to what He’s said before.
