The main thing we're saved from is God's wrath. Awesome!!! The bonuses? We're also saved from the penalty of sin which is eternal separation from God (imagine the painful and agonizing eternity we're saved from), also from the power of sin (we can overcome). There's a lot more, but I just got home from a wedding and no time to research yet for the support verses.

I think it will be more interesting to let the others share their learning instead of me jumping in right away (although it's very tempting – the good kind); the topics are really interesting.

You know that's a name of a book: “Saved from what?”

     I think, besides the awesome fact that God save us from eternal damnation, He saves us…….rescues us from our selves.

Just think with out Jesus we'd have no hope, no faith.  We'd be imprisoned in depression, low self esteem, defeat.  We'd be stuck in a vicious cycle of sadness, anger and hurt.  With the knowledge of Him, with receiving His salvation AND His Lordship, we are set free.  Those chains that bound us to these painful emotions, self doubt and nothingness were taken off.  We now can have hope, and a joy for the future.  We can have victory. 

For me personally this is one way Jesus saved me.  He saved me ……………from me, from this state of mind.  He didn't just saved my soul, but He also saved my heart.

Salvation -  past….present…..Future.

We're saved from the past that haunts us.  The present which I stated above.  And the future, where we will spend our eternity.

He saves from God's eternal judgement.

He saves us from God the father who cant even stand to look at the sin in us.

Sigh…He's our own personal filter for life.

But in the here and now..

He saves us from ourselves.

Living a life without Jesus is hopeless.

We can be happy for a time but never really full.

We make wrong choices an find ourselves in bad situations.

He saves from the enemy who is always seeking to destroy us.
