Here we go! Here we go! Question of the week!
Luke 6:27-30 and Matthew 5:43-48 states that we should love our enemies. Ephesians 6:12 says that our enemy is Satan and his minions. So does God love Satan? and should we fight off Satan with love?

oh nice one emptyoh!
i believe there's nothing we can do to change satan's fate/eternity. we know what's gonna happen to him and his followers. so if we try to love him, he's just gonna do what is natural for him to do – lie. satan is a trickster. we are to be aware of his ways [ 1 Peter 5:8 NLT ]. we are to run away from him [ James 4:7 NLT ]. we are to overcome him [ 1 John 2:14 NLT ]. etc.
does God love satan? i don't think so. not anymore. hehehe. i'll do some research…

how can we even expect to hear from God when we don’t even care to listen to what He’s said before. |

it's always seemed to me like Satan knows full well what is going to happen to him and his minions eventually. I think he knows that he is eternally cut off from God's mercy no matter what he does or doesn't do. That seems like a pretty powerful motivation for him to be deceitful, evil, conniving, etc and desire to take as many souls along with him as possible while he still has the chance.

Awesome responses everyone!!
ooo i agree we know that God loved satan before the fall since he was one of the top angels Ezekiel 28:12–15. Isaiah 14:12-15 states that he fell because of his pride. Thus, (from Sunday School apologetics) we know that he kept on dwelling in this sin that he ultimately became sin itself. God hates sin Psalms 5:4, Psalms 45:7, and Proverbs 6:16-19.
In conclusion (haha geek), God had loved satan but cannot show love to him anymore because satan is and has the nature of sin.
However, this brings up another question…dundundun….
When Jesus died for our sins, did he take upon the nature of our sins? or in other words did he become sin itself? If so, did God still love Him during this period? Share your thoughts!!

Nice MTO. At least, i know someone was REALLY listening during Sunday School. I was kinda waiting for something like that to come up in this discussion.
Now to your QOTW follow-up question…
Jesus did take up the sins of world. He became sin himself in light of taking up (and being in place of) the sins of the world (doesn't mean He's sinful). It's kindof like if Julia was to get arrested, I could take her place as her “savior”, and as one who “sinned” taking Julia's place, yet I have not sinned myself. (Was that confusing?)
Did God love Satan (or Lucifer)? I'm sure he did. Yet, Lucifer chose to be sin himself (as what Mikee already explained above).
Did God love Satan while Jesus was taking on the sins of the world? Well… probably, yes. But I am not entirely sure since I don't have references.
I still go back to the fact that God loves everyone, even the evil ones. He wants all to be saved, yet… He hates the sin in us. Since Satan is full of sin, and sin himself, God hates the sin personified as Satan. However, since Satan was also a man, I think God still loves him, only Satan chooses not to receive his love. Does that make sense? HAHAH Sorry, I can't think so clearly right now (especially after 2 hours of Period 5! BWAHAHAH)

yes, Jesus became sin but that doesn't necessarily mean he did sin [ 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV ].
it's possible that at some moment on the cross [when Jesus became sin on our behalf], that God the Father in a sense, turned His back upon the Jesus since God is too pure to look upon evil [ Habakkuk 1:13 KJV ], meaning, it's possible that when Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross [ 1 Peter 2:24 KJV ], the Father [ spiritually ] turned away thus Jesus cries out, “Father, why have you forsaken me?” [ Matthew 27:46 KJV ].
just because the Father turned His back on Jesus because of the sins of mankind was upon Jesus at that moment on the cross, doesn't necessarily mean that the Father didn't love Jesus at that moment – the Father must had been really heart-broken or love-broken, and Jesus too.

Matthew 5:45 “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
According, to this verse he loves us all enough to have created us and allow us to live even if we fall far from his commands. So, I think he loves Satan. But just coz he loves all doesnt mean he likes us all or approve all we do. Because, in the next verse
Psalm 97:10 Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.”
It explains how he hates evil… and as for satan…. God knows he wont change and hate his ways but he loved him enough to create him and if god is all knowing …He knew what Satan would do and still created him… isnt that love? And if he still creates us who wont turn from our “evil ways” isnt that love?
I could be wrong… But I love this question… hmmm
