A friend who used to work with Cyril and myself is also a combat medic a.k.a. a “corpsman” in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Recently he receieved orders stating that he will be shipping out to the front lines in Afghanistan later this year. My friend and his wife have two children, one of which was born just a few months ago.

I pray that God would raise a hedge of protection around both my friend who will be going into combat but also his family back here in the Valley. More importantly – I pray that God would use this situation as an awakening to the power of Christ at work in their lives. I would appreciate it if some of you could join me in praying for these things too.
