I would like to ask everyone to please pray for the daughter of my DON (director of nursing) who is in intensive care unit

right now because of choking.  She is more or less 1 yr old.

She's on the respirator because of inadequate supply of oxygen in the brain.

Lord, we pray for normal brain function in the life of this child. Amen!

In the Name of Jesus, let there be an adequate supply of oxygen in the brain of the DON's daughter. Let the functions of her respiratory system be normalized.

Praise God for answered prayers.

I visited the child monday afternoon and got the chance to lay hand and prayed for her.  During that time she had tubes all over and was sedated.  Ventilator, heart monitor, tube in the mouth to take out the infiltrate that went to her lungs, etc.

It was not a nice scene though her color was already normal.

During the incident  the child passed out (not breathing) and turned purple.  My DON (director of nursing) called 911 and did CPR on the child while waiting.  She had 2 rounds of CPR 30:2, after which the ambulance came.  The child was not  revived but had stridor breathing pattern (a high pitched sound resulting from turbulent air flow in the upper airway)  probably the grapes was moved inside the throat or something. A good sign that the CPR given worked.

The child had a tube that goes through the lungs to take out fluids or foreign material that went in during the process of reviving.

God is good!  Theresa (17 months old) was discharged today.  She is back home.  Philline is very thankful for all the prayers.

Just a piece of advice:  Let's learn how to do CPR and heimlich manuever.  Research on it.

We never know.  It can save the life of a loved one.

To God be the glory!!!!!

God is good and He is faithful to answer when we call on His name!

I am so glad to hear that Theresa got discharged from the hospital today.  It is a miracle that she survived 30 mins without 100% oxygen going to her brain…..God is amazing!

This is a reminder for us to be watchful and mindful when we feed and/or care for little ones.  And like Lianne said, we should take the time to learn CPR and the Heimlich manuever since we are surrounded by kids at church and since we do care for them on Sundays.

Praise the Lord!!!  Praise  (i miss these smileys!)
