Genesis 19:16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands  of his wife and of his two daugthers and led them safely out to the city, for the LORD was merciful to them.

There are times when strong persuasion is the way of mercy.

It may be necessary to use our hands when our words are not enough.
