Why?

Nearly 400 murders were committed in the city of Los Angeles in 2008. Most of these were commited by youth, and were gang related. In san Fernando Valley alone, approximately 80 gangs battle for dominance.

Our city is ravaged by violence, deception, addiction, and povery. Hatred and depression enslave our young people. they are a generation without direction – “distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd.”

Youth and young adults are NOT coming to faith as in previous generations. Statistics show that only 4% of the next generation in America is going to follow Jesus and adapt a Biblical world view. In addition, 75% plus, are leaving church when they graduate high school. On top of that, 77% of all people who come to Christ in the United States do so before they turn 20 years of age. We have a small window of opportunity to reach them!

What?

Revolution will be one of the largest evengelistic outreaches in the history of the San Fernando Valley. The biggest youth event in the city of Los Angeles in 2009- total expected attendence is 30,000.

Where?

Birmingham High School Stadium.In the city of Lake Balboa. Cross streets are Victory and Balboa.

How?

Our goal is to UNITE the current eforts of every Christ honoring church and Christian organization as one force against the schemes of the enemy. We believe that our unity will have a profound impact on attendees of REVOLUTION '09 and help facilitate AWAKENING in our city. Together we can change thousands of lives towards Christ and in doing so “change yOUR world.”

Hey y'all. I'm sending you this info because I believe that this oppertunity cannot be passed up. We have a chance to impact the lives of the youth of this valley for them to make a change in this world. We have to UNITE for the world to KNOW Christ. (JOHN 17:21-23).

Now, there's a lot of volenteer needs. anywhere from hands on for clean up to hands on for the ones who accept Jesus.

I would say that Decision Follow up is one of the areas where we are in more need. Decision Follow Up includes praying for the ones who accept Jesus durring the alter call, giving them bibles, encouraging them, and plugging them into a church. Training is nessicary for this possition and will be offered on:

May 8 3:00 PM at CSUN

May 11 7:00 PM at Hope Chapel of the Valley

May 14 8:00 PM at Hope Chapel of the Valley

May 17 1:00 PM at Rocky Peek
