1 Samuel 24:12-13 May the LORD judge between you and me. And may the LORD avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you. As the old saying goes “From evildoers come evil deeds,” so my hand will not touch you.

From evil men come evil hands; from evil hands come evil deeds. From righteous men come righteous hands; from righteous hands come righteous deeds.

It’s very tempting to get even especially when in “good” position to do so. But it’s never up to us to return evil for evil. That’s not us. The Lord has cleansed the works of our hands, and He intends for us to keep it that way.

Touch wisely.
